What is Management by Exception?

Management by Exception means spending mainly time on issues that (significantly) fall out of the expected or planned margins. In a herd management program for example this could be cows that give significantly less (or even more) milk than you would expect. This kind of managing saves you time by spending mainly time at issues that really needs attention. In Crystal herd management one can setup these boundary values themselves, resulting in reports asking attention only for those animals that you would like to see.
